For the duration of the exhibitions a number of talks, tours and other events are being developed by Several Pursuits and invited others in collaboration with the artist. One thing leading to another.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-967 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/severalpursuits.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/fieldguidepage_06-sp1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"396\" srcset=\"https:\/\/severalpursuits.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/fieldguidepage_06-sp1.jpg 600w, https:\/\/severalpursuits.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/fieldguidepage_06-sp1-300x198.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>An extensive survey of work by Scotland-based artist Ilana Halperin (b. 1973, New York) is currently being shown in two solo exhibitions in Berlin: HAND HELD LAVA at the Ernst Schering Foundation\u2019s Project Space and STEINE at the Berlin Museum of Medical History of the Charit\u00e9. Ilana Halperin&#8217;s work engages with geological phenomena and the generation of new landmass. In HAND HELD LAVA, the artist embraces our fascination with volcanoes, their generation and the relationship between geological phenomena and daily life. Parallel to this exhibition, the Berlin Museum of Medical History of the Charit\u00e9 presents the exhibition STEINE.
