PURSUIT: FabAgit SUMMER SERIES

In collaboration with SEVERAL PURSUITS artist & founder of FabAgit (aka Fabulous Agitation) Christina Kral is exploring experimental pedagogy through a celebratory Summer Series of stimulating, liberating and reality shifting workshops, picnics and tours. You are cordially invited to join the process to (re)search and develop intervention formats that aim to facilitate exchange, shift perspectives and test practical utopias throughout Berlin’s summer.

The Summer Series will take place in different locations throughout the city of Berlin and will loosely connect with various spaces, events, initiatives, programs and people. The city as a work in progress, adapting and adaptable, resisting and malleable, as a playground, force field and laboratory. As a growing storage unit of constructed realities, serendipitous encounters and collective science and fiction. The city as tool box for personal and professional development, a source of inspiration, confusion and critique. The city as a space for action with a web of people and institutions for analysis and reflection. Yeah!

ABOUT
Situationist at heart, Christina Kral uses methods and technologies like serious play, perpetual dérive, random editing, pop-up and cut-up, appropriation of {spatial} realities, the faking of fiction, conscious confusion and chance operations to approach her body of work. She appropriates existing situations and continuously re-contextualizes her works in order to break down societal hierarchies; mock expectations and shift perceptions and actively building on a terrain vague.

Kral is the founder and director of FabAgit, a home base for temporary platforms of liberation and a founding member of the critical art and design collective No Standing Anytime {NSA}.  She’s a member of YKON, an advocacy group for unrepresented nations, experimental countries and utopian thinkers. She’s also part of the Urban Literacy Society {ULS} based in New York and the Society of Urban Naturalists {S.U.N.} based in Mexico City. She’s involving experimental pedagogy for cross-media story-telling workshops and critical design classes at academies and universities across the globe. Kral now lives and works in Berlin.
